#colorwheel's

Ever wondered why brown looks so good paired with turquoise or who can wear both warm red next to blue red?
Wanna know how Winter can wear earthy tones?
Or ever wondered if Dark (Shaded) Autumn isn't about only dark brown with orange or leopard?

The answers are in IdLook's new project - colorwheels for each of 16 colortypes so you could easier find out how to make analogues color combinations, complimentary, triads, so on;).

So, LET*S START!
Pure Spring would combine coral pink with hot pink, pure in hue:
Picture
while Tinted Spring is about lighter tones, as it's seen at the colorwheel, besides the colors aren't equal in saturation/light level, so to speak not quite matching, yet you can still match peach pink and violet:
Picture
Toned Spring combines warm red with orange sherbet: (most left)
Picture
Picture
Picture
while Shaded Spring would carry darker tones, like coral pink with mango (or warm red with tangerine as pictured in the middle)
Pure Summer combines hot pink with watermelon
pls notice that step to the right, purples, like orchid, is possible for these on the cooler side and more contrast, so to speak more close to Winter type:
Picture
Tinted Summer needs to blend lighter, it's called Tinted after all lol;), so it would combine watermelon with paspberry patfait or even rosewater:
Picture
Nobody carries dusty tones better than Toned Summer (we still envy Carry Bradshaw lol;)
Picture
Imagine gorgeous Angelina Jolie, Shaded Summer wears:
Picture
Notice how close to that also cool and some dark season of Pure Winter: yet it IS Pure, more in hue:
Picture
Tinted Winter has quite a range of warm red-cold red combinations to choose, as you see:
Picture
Toned Winter also has good ones. Just remember not to go to dark into Shaded Winter with, for instance, grape:
Picture
Shaded Winter rocks Blue red (more intensive in hue than hot pink of other seasons) with true red and even raspberry. Also other Winters can wear it, so it's classical lol;): for Shaded Winter this combination is the lightest. Though many still can do it! Turn both darker, from the next line, and there will be the ideal one:
Picture
Picture
Pure Autumn combination is tomato red with violet, terra-cotta and aubergine:
Picture
Tinted Autumn is the one that really have difficulties to combine warm red and cold one, as it's seen from the colorwheel: but still tomato closer to face (you do know that rule of your temperature color first, right?) and watermelon on the bottom would work:
Picture
Picture

toned autumn cross true red or watermelon with deep tomato

Shaded Autumn would follow the same principe and combine its tomato with rust or red plum:
Picture
so, hopefully now you understand the colorwheel' use and see the difference that makes one colortype to be that and another to be this;)

New year = new meetings!

I'll introduce myself to those new customers (more than it's done before;), opened =>#meToo :/ and honestly:

Hello!
My name is Olga, I am certified stylist and I've had a rather interesting journey to this profession.
I've always wanted to help people. Because of that i became a lawyer. But after working for almost 10 years as one I've got enough of bureaucracy as well as of dress-code ;) - I know that all ;). And the  artistic side of me wanted something different.

Before realizing how I could help people as a stylist I went through a personal crisis. As some mothers experience, I got a depression. I tried to cure it with shopping as many people do. It helped me to understand the reasons behind being a shopoholic. And I understood the reason for my depression as well - it was not seeing me in perspective, my own place in the Universe. And so I cured myself - my interest to clothing gave me the strength to get out of my depression even without the prescription medicine. I've realized how powerful clothing influences self-esteem, and because of my systematic approach of thinking, rich and diverse experience and my interest in psychology - I can help people. So, January 2015 I became a student again and right before 2016 have graduated from the course of 13 year practicing stylist-imagemaker. My thesis were about mothers-to-be and mother's clothes specifics and styles.

What I like most about clothing is that it is like a math or music. You can compose your own music from few "notes" - form, color, texture, line, and look can show only one side of you or you can blend it "all in". Let's learn together! Setting up your own style is a process which can take up to... So have a look at "My services" and contact me to get the best program that suits you!

I am a puzzle;). So and you are;). Why is that I can help you the best?
It is
interesting how everything you've ever learned, connects the puzzle: each indeed contributed to the new profession as a stylist;).
*Lawyer: gave me the structure, concludes logical laws and gives one the secret ability to go around the laws;) if client's individuality demands it. I can communicate to any client type, know when to offer straight solutions or just listen and carefully recommend, etc. It also wakes an enormous interest to learn history: history of fashion in my case;)
*Children's teacher says me if the client gets enough of new information and I need to switch the attention to another subject. I call it the soap bubbles-method;))). Helps me also with creativity and flexibility! Moreover, pursuing the path of new knowledge for the client instead of tiger teaching;).
*Personal experience with art and psychology also contributes enormously. As well my moving to Sweden - it taught me to the great "skulle du kunna tänka..." Smiley wink

Life is truly amazing! Let's definy your inner individuality too!

Do you know what message your appearance sends? How do you want others to see you?

1/11/2018

Comments

If you want others to see you through your eyes, contact me! My goal is to help people, so I do it affordable!

Since the ancient times variety and diversity in clothing was poor. At some ages coloring was limited, at some - the fabrics were hard and expensive to get, at some point "fashion" meant "men ONLY". So here we stand in the 21st century and can get whatever we want, nobody is gonna execute us for having pants on or gossip on us if our hair is not setup. So, what do we want?

You are a puzzle!

We might know our figure type. Good. But that's not enough for calling your today look a LOOK ;). We might know our face shape and get a haircut what suits it. Wonderful! Still, it's too little. We can find out our colors that work for us. Oh, with only that we can happily live for years! However, we are still somehow not complete and we still have a problem of "nothing to wear" while if we only dare open our wardrobes, then all this "nothing" jumps right on us.

Can we solve it?
Why is that so many people have that problem, when magazines, internet and all kind of information is around us...?
The answer is right here. Exactly: "ALL KINDS OF.." - we've got total freedom. And it's hard because there is too much of EVERYTHING. You need to consider a lot of things at once to be able to create a look.

Is it enough to be your own stylist?
Of course we all get dressed in the morning.
Let's take that example of you separately knowing your figure type, your colors, your face shape and so on. To us, stylist, people seems quite often as a mosaic of these different elements, because these elements are not CONNECTED and not UNITED in the LOOK.

Another mistake - is outgoing from the magazines, fashion, bloggers and the internet but not from your own individuality. Then we see a look that is supposed to belong to one person, being worn by another individual. They simply mismatch.
And so we, ordinary people are "reads" the person based on this mismatch. Between us stylists we have a saying about this: "If you'd pull on the uncombined, then pls expect the unpredictable".

Thus. people can have hard time matching to the situation, "never is casual enough" or "always too business-like at the events" and so on. We really need to make people focus on us correctly to be able to get that project at work or the guy at the bar ;), or even get medical help - like this
social experiment video made in Paris:  is proof that it can even be dangerous not to pay enough attention to your appearances

Mistakes that cost your money:
Although some think the stylist would be just a waste of money and that they wouldn't offer any new alternatives... Here is a brilliant example of a set I've found on the internet where I'll show why stylists are useful! Look at the pic:

Picture
Originally the author was saying this dress is for the office. Yep, a sensitive lady like Monica Belucci would love the dress! But then, the author wanted to add something extra in this boring look and added a coat. A wonderful airy and delicate women would also love it! But wait, that would be a girl-lady like Mary Picford with dreamy eyes... not a "know-what-I-want'/this guy-at-the-bar lady" who owns the dress... So the first mismatch is created...
But then (I guess since the author's logic is "it is supposed to be an office look") he adds this clutch. So that together with that coat, we get "a small girl who has stolen her mom's shoes". Mismatch again.

If you have a keen eye for lines (architects would easily understand me;), you'll see this huge mismatch in the lines of the bag and the coat.  And for everyone - psychology would work: This bag would belong to Catharine Zeta Jones type of women with a heavy look in their eyes - they know their stuff, they are direct, wonderful bosses, their sensitivity is different - definitely not like a girl with dreamy eyes wearing this coat!

All these 3 different women are worth-loving but they are soooooo different. Seeing that set now, we don't really know WHO is standing in front of us...
...the professional stylist wouldn't leave this look uncompleted even color-wise without smth with both beige and black, like a bag or shoes or scarf...
More tips are in the blog and at
IdLook

Why me and what benefits will you get?
I know all this because I have been professionally trained in both David Kibbe's typology that was invented 30 years ago and Dwyn Larsson's typology of 2012. I know what psychological character is behind each clothing or acessory item plus what image colors are creating, and so on.
You would get to know the secrets!

My prices will pleasantly surprise you.
Think of how much money you are going to save by not buying the things you don't actually need! It IS worth your time! And a place in your wardrobe!

WHAT #Capsule #wardrobe &#lookbook TO BUY?

Sure, it costs less to buy smarter and there are so many that are tired of buying the wrong clothes!
There are also so many analyst and many opinions about you.
Also, often you do get a skype consult or couple of scetches and oral consultation only.

That's why it could be handy to have a look at written recs and especially visuals all gathered at one place. Also imagine, you can compare it to each other!
Now you do have that opportunity!

IdLook released lookbooks to buy!:
• if you think you are some type, check it out with us!
• If you were diagnosed by analyst of being some archetype, but you disagree - just buy a lookbook of the archetype you suspect you to be! Close to #Kibbe and #Larson's systems, TIB yin/yang, etc. - you'll understand it!)

Wanna fast route? If 💯 pages lookbook is too much time and letters for you, np, check the capsule wardrobe! (the examples of what is included in there, are in the previous post!)
Ok, you still need to check "accessories", "har&make-up" in the lookbook to know what jewelry to wear, what hairstyle to have etc;)

possiblWhat lookbook&wardrobe to buy? If you do know your Kibbe type, use the table below to understand:
=> There are 4 basic types: Gamin, Natural, Romantic and Dramatic as it is in Kibbe too. There are 4 classics: Kibbe Classic is NATURAL Classic, Kibbe's SC=ROMANTIC-Classic, DC=DRAMATIC-Classic. There is also Gamin Classic that doesn't exists in Kibbe.
In between they create:
GAMIN-natural GAMIN-NATURAL 50/50 Natural-Gamin
so, that means that there is a type, leaning more towards Gamin or Natural that are blended in that. There is also a more balanced type, which is for purchase on PayPal button.
Dominants (leaning one or another side are available on demand - ask IdLook to create invoice for you. But mostly these are for IdLook's clients that gets the information what dominant they are during the archetype defining service!
Let's continue: There are also:
GAMIN-romantic GAMIN-ROMANTIC 50/50 SG (Kibbe)=ROMANTIC-gamin
FG=GAMIN-Dramatic GAMIN-DRAMATIC 50/50 Dramatic-gamin
NATURAL-romantic NATURAL-ROMANTIC 50/50 SN(Kibbe)=ROMANTIC-natural
NATURAL-Dramatic NATURAL-DRAMATIC 50/50 FN (Kibbe)=DRAMATIC-natural
TR(KIbbe)=ROMANTIC-dramatic ROMANTIC-DRAMATIC 50/50 SD=DRAMATIC-romantic
There is no 100% equalness, yet some similarities can be found.

If you have no clue about Kibbe or Larson, use the hints about figure types below or calculate it at http://www.calculator.net/body-type-calculator.html or go through quest / DIY to define your possible archetype in seconds:

Picture
Picture
In my system #figure types does exsist
gamines are rather boyish in figure, so, often rectangular, with a weight gained appled;
romantics are X-shaped and keeps their waist through weight gain even, but gets 8/peared;
Naturals are triangular in figure;
Dramatics are X but with weigh gain becomes more 8/pear shaped and often waist gets lost.

Classics are the most complicated to figure yourself out coz combines all 4 types in them in a unique blend. So.... if you can't find yourself easy enough, maybe you're the one;). And the best is to order the analysis from IdLook, of course!

Contact if you have any questions, comment, like and share here, on Facebook or Instagram - these are highly appreciated!;).

IdLook would proceed on coloring these capsule wardrobes to provide you the best and unique! Once it's done, you'llbe notified! So, follow IdLook!
So far 5 colortypes are ready: Toned Winter, Tinted Summer, Pure Spring, Shaded Spring, Tinted Autumn.

WOW! style or  streetstyle. Practical POP-ART

Comments

Pop-art is known since 50s-60s thanx to Andy Warhol and his tomato soup dress;)
Picture
Its characteristics are: geometry, bright image and bright colors, prints with faces, cartoon heroes, slogans, letters. Accessories from plastic and a lot of details in general, on a border with kitch. It is also ironical style and it corresponds perfectly to fashion coz fashion is also a game.
Moschino and Mohito, Bershka and ASOS usually has a lot of items in that style. Also collections SS 2016 were full of pop-art at Lanvin, Max Mara and Emporio Armani.

Style horoscope 2016

5/13/2016

Comments

Picture
Aries
Designer representative: Marc Jacobs
harmony and serenity mood is best expressed in one of the favorites for the upcoming spring-summer season - green color. But of course, it isn't whatever green that suits their nature!
Their passionate nature and a love of the spectacularity requires a decent support!

Therefore, the optimal company for them will be a bright, saturated, glowing green. Pantone Institute called this color "Green Flash" - the dynamics of balance and tranquility: http://www.pantone.com/pages/fcr/?season=spring&year=2016&pid=11#green-flash .

Picture
Taurus
Designer representative: Miuccia Prada
Brilliant perspectives Taurus has are best framed in no less brilliant texture, especially because the trend of shine and luster continue its triumphant march on the catwalks and fashion capitals.

So, top with sequins would be relevant both at work-related receptions where Taurus certainly will be invited, so and at other parties which defenatelly would happened due to the development of Taurus' carrier!

But there is also no sin to come wearing shine shoes or handbag in relaxing colors with a metallic coating to the office.

Picture
Gemini
Designer representative: Alber Elbaz
Smart policies in the family and at work makes Gemini to throw the flag, but not white, the color one. Despite the fact that many of the fundamental issues between Russia, US and France aren't solved, the recognizable blue-white-red of these countries are among of the hits this spring.

This does not necessarily means to walk around in T-shirts with the tricolor. The most elegant will be a skilful combination of blue with white and red like sea style or dress uniform or take all three colors in large blocks in simple things.

Picture
Cancer
Designer representative: Georgio Armani
Cancers needs to relax and enjoy lounge atmosphere - that makes the time to try one of the hippies fashion discoveries - print tie-dye.
Blurred color transitions, modulations of rainbow colors in a bizarre reminds of the serene peace, endless beaches of Southeast Asia.

You can wear tie-dye under a jacket or cardigan even in the chilly weather! Closer to the summer light skirts and dresses with this oriental pattern will be in use. This outfit is perfect for try to abandon the chaos of the city and to meditate a bit while you äre still in the city!

Picture
Leo
Designer representative: Coco Chanel
This season Lions will get into their native environment - animal prints and exotic plants that blooms on dresses and blouses. Bright and expressive image would immediately mark leadership ambitions and a strong will to Lion's surrounding.
That is the common thing for Lions - to correspond these expectations.
base some exotic, wild jungle and savannah into your wardrobe!

Picture
Virgo
Designer representative: Karl lagerfeld
It's healthy to relax in between of the tensed working shifts. It is as if specially for such occasions designers invented pajama-clothesline idyll!

This year, Virgo can literally go out in a negligee: dresses, shirts, jackets, gowns, lace trims and satin ribbons - all these attributes of bedrooms and boudoirs are no longer ashamed to be walked in a decent society. This by default sets us in tranquil mood, so that overwork is absolutely impossible, and that is exactly what Virgo needs!

Picture
Libra
Designer representative: Donna Karan
A money and recognition hunt should be made in a suitable outfit. Safari is a Style No 1 among the leaders in the fashion of the season-2016. Dresses, shirts and pants, voluminous jackets are not only incredibly effective, but also are very comfortable.

It has sexuality of 80s and elegance. The most important: this year safari became extra-feminine!

Picture
Scorpion
Designer representative: Anna Wintour
Racing with winds Scorpio would get comfort in reminding the motorcyclists' cloth. Biker jackets, smooth leather and colorful inserts as in sport companies' emblems, which are at the peak of popularity in the world!
Its brutality is particularly emphatised by fragile girlish shoulders.

Surrounding can only admire and try to keep up with the rapid Scorpions!

Picture
Sagittarius
Designer representative: Manolo blahnik
This year's Sagittarius is literally catching a good luck in their nets: it's all about the 90s comebacks: mesh inserts for example;). Such a top or a dress - is not for prudes, but faith, as it is known, favors the bold ones!
But Sagittarius is bold, innate adventurist, a master of the provocative trends.
The main thing to consider here - is a good underwear - in particular, undershirt, kombidres, etc.

Picture
Capricornus
Designer representative: Diane fon fursteberg

Capricorns has it simple in life, and so at the wardrobe! Clear lines cut, smooth texture with shine and soothing colors in a futuristic style will create the right ambiance at events/parties!

Futurism looks impressive even with a minimal decor. And Capricorns doesn't want to focus on thinking about too many details right now - so it's insignificant. Therefore, they choose oversize, minimalism, futurism - and get to the point!

Picture
Aquarius
Designer representative: Christian Dior
Last trends - feminine skirts, tutus, are associated with ballet.
The image of a ballet class pupils can be met at the cafe, kissing on a bench in the park and stroll through the picturesque Old Town quarter. This scenario obviously will appeal to anxious nature of Aquarius!

Picture
Pisces
Designer representative: Kenzo Takada
In a healthy body lives a healthy mind! And a healthy body means environmental print and natural fabrics. None of the seasons latest fashion trend has managed without the flowers. And so we will bloom and smell.

But unlike last year's trends with their lush roses and poppies, this time we favoriting cornflowers, buttercups, daisies and other inhabitants of the meadows and fields.
So, get a chintz dress and easy and natural step onto the right path and health!

Do you find yourself here? if not;)... That was some fun, anyway;)
Of course your style doesn't depends on your Zodiac;)

My mission is your love

12/14/2015

Comments

I meet the same in my work.
I realy want you to love yourself. That starts with an understanding of how unique you are. Even if you are of a same archetype as someone else, then there is a style flower that will be unique. Then there is your lifestyle. There never are 2 copies of a Style Story because of that. Even for the twins!

Unfortunatelly sometimes media, friends, other things in our life are influencing us so much, that we forgetting us true ones.
We are pulling on someone's role, someone's style, etc. We got confused by our big wardrobe of a different styles but of a "nothing to wear". We enters the dark.
We need a guideness. A coaching. To true us. To our style uniqueness. The code, that nature had hided in us. I humble hope I do it for you as I've done that for other my clients;)

And once you are starting this way to a true you, you suddenly notice how genius a nature was. And your eyebrows you've had a years ago, in your youth/childhood, are the best for you. Your natural haircolor is the best for your contrast level. So on.

You start to feel the nature has created you as you are for something special. It thought very well through while created you. An unique you. (But we might keep another haircolor and a slightly plucked eyebrows, after all we are women;)

Once we started to love ourself, our shoulders becomes to straighten from our mission, our eyes starts to shine, we KNOW THE SECRET!
You are always welcome for the Style Story!
Your way to the beauty
Billede
Notice how Edith Piaf was romantising herself. In a will to look softer many yang energy ones are doing that. In fact, been there done that too... But it was very important for her to bring her thoughts and feelings to us through the singing. So, she indeed needed that expression and softeness.

Then, remember Marylin Monro, who is R in origin, but her corrected into angular shape, D's curves in fact attracted enough of drama with JFK&so on into her life. She needed feelings, though deep down she wanted a cozy family as her inner romantic was talking...

So, depending on your roles - the thing we define in a Style Story, you migh need to straighten your eybrows or to open them up in a surprising attitude to the life. But we still stay close to your nature and YOU, instead of pulling some type and style over you. Because you are beautiful and needed as YOU ARE!

‪#‎Style‬ school for you.

rule nr.1: contrast-nuance-repeat. Means:
a) use one color what is contrast to another (there are many kinds of contrast - read Itten or ‪#‎askme‬).
B) Use third color what would be a nuance to the first or to the second color.
C) repeat one of a colors

Consider the amount of a bright ones should be decreased;)

Rule nr.2: uniting the colors.
Now you need to have one piece in your look what would have each of the used colors.
Applies to all of us if not only you are a blond wearing all-beige or afroamerican in all black and you need it acc.to your style+colortype+color image;)
Applies even guys;)
It is important to know how much of the color must be in your outfit. Use the scheme Itten has created and look below in the examples of a wrong use:
Resuming: do NOT take a red*other color bag to all black*grey etc.outfit. Do NOT repeat only without contrast and nuance. Do NOT pull on a colorful item if the colors in that item are not present in your outfit separately as well... Do NOT leave the colors ununited. Here comes the examples of the mistakes:
So, go now and try to apply these. And if (no, WHEN;) something wouldn't puzzle with the rules (pretty normal in the beginning, no shame;), contact me, coz there is more in an underwater of this iceberg;). I'll be happy to help you!

PS I do plan also the style courses IRL/on-line so we'd have enough of time to find your individual way of dealing with colors;)! PM me for the more details!

I've tried to figure out my style myself for about 2 years - I mean before then I  wasn't giving it a thought;). Of course I was managing before and I wouldn't say it was ugly;). You can have a look at the pictures. But I often felt overdressed or shy as if I was trying too hard to impress but didn't want people to admit me. A part of psychology, of course. But with time I realized that I was doing it coz what I wore didn't represent the real me. I liked some color combo in vogue/on the net and was hunting the similar color item. Once wearing it - shy.... Hunting the next. And yep, I thought I was a summer... Oh my!
All that gave me a depression and go get out of it I wanted to understand this riddle.
I ended up taking a course of a practicing stylist where I happily got the systemized knowledge and found out how styling works:
Step 1. Fixing your clothes' piece lengths.
And necklines.
Get rid of everything that is not yours. (Would give you extra bulky/disproportions, etc)
Step 2. Getting to know what your siluett is - broken, OR the whole and sculptured, OR soft and textured OR long&soft and puffed-armed and so on.
These two steps are done when you know your style archetype. Plus your way of doing your make-up
Step 3. Fixing the colors. This will also define the colors of your make-up btw.
Step 4. Finding your style direction (D, C, S/N, R)
Getting rid of all clothing that is not in your style.
Step 5. Fixing your hair - hair style and hair color
Step 6. Making order in your wardrobe capsule wise.
Step 7. For advanced. Getting a style iconed.

Now, how to do it yourself. Try, try, try tryons. Spend a lot of time on that. Even if not buying;). Go on a Facebook groups of Kibbe, read his book, try to find out your archetype. in general takes about 2 years. Analyze, analyze, analyze: what do you like in the clothing pieces, why this attracts you and that isn't, what is your worst, etc. Time again. Then, read, watch, etc.the fashion history and there you belong. Unfortunatelly there are mostly romantic-dramatics are in public, Kibbe-knowledgable would agree with me on that and admit that's why he himself studyed them so well in Hollywood and created a subcategories, TR and SD. So, if you can't find your style icon, it is because it is well hidden and not that public;)
Next time we'll talk about how much it costs;)
